Theft of Motor Vehicle - Lumiere House, Elstree Way - Borehamwood

Dear Resident

Between 01/05/2025 09:00 to 10/06/2025 12:00 a theft of a motor vehicle occurred on Elstree Way.

Between material times a black Fiat 500 Abarth index was taken from an underground carpark.

Victim said there appeared to be broken glass next to where the vehicle was parked, but unsure if this is glass from the vehicle. The carpark is a monitored space so there will be CCTV of offenders arriving and leaving from scene.

Tips to prevent vehicle crime:

Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicle

When parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.

Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.

Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox.

If you have a keyless entry car use a signal blocking bag.

Store car ownership documents at home, not in your car.
